The Red Squirrel Survival Trust is a leading charity looking to establish to protect the life line of red squirrels as shockingly its been predicted that in 10 years time they will be extinct if current trends continue. The RSST are there to help stop that from happening.
The main objectives of the organisation are;
- Protect red squirrels by keeping reds and greys apart.
- Assist the winning reds in areas where red squirrel population numbers have stabilised or are increasing.
- Establish new red colonies across the UK wherever feasible.
- Fund research on how to secure the red squirrel’s long-term future.
- Raise awareness of the plight of reds in the UK.
Red squirrel survival trust have been our clients in previous iterations of the their website but in April 2012 decided to take a leap forward through the redevelopment of the site in WordPress. A new platform was required to provide a number of benefits to the administration team, external audiences and a raft of new features on a platform that was scalable. An improved online shop allows the e-commerce choice for purchasing items or becoming a member on the site.
With a striking new design the site has been upgraded and features a much simpler navigation system. Visit now to see exclusive red squirrel photo/video content, support the cause and ‘become a friend’ of the trust and receive regular ‘squirrel watch’ updates. They have a striking new banner on their home page which demonstrates what they are trying to achieve and the key features they wanted their users to see.
